I grew up thinking that I don’t want to be anything like my dad. Over the years, I realized that in some ways; I wanted to be like him. Now that I am older and hopefully somewhat wiser, my views have changed.
One aspect that stands out about the previous two generations was the level of sacrifice they made to take care of their future generations. They gave unconditionally. They (mostly) lived for their kids and grand kids and future in their mind. I am thankful that I had parents that showed us how to live and learn and what is really important in life – relationships.
